BASIC PROGRAMME:
31 March:
Arrival at the hotel where a Sport Contact International assistant will welcome you and give you the final tournament details. Lunch at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner & overnight.
01 April:
Full board at the hotel. Opening ceremony and first round of classifying matches.
02 April:
Full board at the hotel. Classifying matches.
03 April: Full board at the hotel. Last round of classifying matches.
04 April:
Full board at the hotel. Final rounds in all categories. The final matches are followed by the awards presentation. For teams that have not reached this round, there is the possibility to organize optional tours to Barcelona, Museum Dalí, Wineries, Port Aventura theme park etc . Please ask for more information. In the evening optional festive get-together dinner for all the participating teams.
05 April: Breakfast at the hotel. Departure.
ACCOMODATION HOTELS
Hotels are in the 3-star category, situated in the towns of Lloret de Mar, Blanes or Malgrat/ Santa Susanna, at approx., one hour from the city of Barcelona. Services: all our hotels feature at least a swimming pool, TV room, bar and cafeteria. All rooms are with bath en suite. Meals: based on full-board, from lunch on arrival day to breakfast on departure. All meals at the hotels are served mostly buffet-style. Drinks are not included but can be organized for a nominal amount.
Upgrade to 4**** star Hotel with a supplement or book an all inclusive service if you prefer. (Pls. ask for details)
IMPORTANT: On arrival, the Hotel will request a mandatory deposit of €15,00 per person in the group. This is a guarantee against possible damages to property that any member of the group might cause in the Hotel. The deposit will be reimbursed on departure after the completion of a routine check.
OUR AREA
Matches will be played in the Costa Brava area, mainly in Lloret de Mar, Blanes, and/or other towns in the vicinity. The Costa Brava, is known for its many amenities. There is a large selection of discos, bars, restaurants to choose from, sandy beaches and breathtaking views. There are also many interesting excursion possibilities to do if you want to get to know the surrounding area and have a good time such as Barcelona, Girona, several theme parks, Dali’s Museum etc.
COMPETITION SYSTEM
Matches will be played in a league format in groups of mainly of 4 teams each; the organizers can change formats at their discretion. A maximum of 6 matches could be played. A minimum of 3 matches are guaranteed under any competition format.
VENUES: Indoor sport pavilions in Lloret de Mar and Blanes.
PLAYING TIME OF MATCHES
Seniors Men & Women: 2 x 15 minutes
Boys & girls U19: 2×15 minutes
Boys & girls U17-U15: 2×12 minutes
Mini Handball U13 – U11: 2 x 10 minutes
-All playing times are continuos playing times.
TOTAL AMOUNT OF PLAYERS/SUBSTITUTIONS
Seniors Men & Women: 16/ 14 per match (12 + 2 goalkeepers)
Boys & girls U19: 16/ 14 per match (12 + 2 goalkeepers)
Boys & girls U17-U15: 16/ 14 per match (12 + 2 goalkeepers)
Mini Handball U13 – U11: 10 / substitutions are only allowed during half-time or due to an injury.
POINTS
Match won: 3 points; match drawn: 1 point; match lost: 0 points
Should two or more teams have the same number of points, the following classification system will apply:
- Best goal average
- Most goals scored
- Result of return match
- Less goals against.
TROPHIES
One cup for each team from 1st to 4th place in each category and medals for all players.- One Fair Play Cup per tournament.
- One MVP trophy in all the categories.
- One souvenir of the tournament for all the players.
DOCUMENTS & RULES
On arrival you will be given an information folder containing documents, general information and rules of the tournament together with final playing groups and kick-off times. Players must bring an official document as proof of age (ID card, passport or FA card). The tournament organizers have the right to check ages individually before the matches begin if they consider it necessary.
EQUIPMENT
Players must bring at least 2 different numbered shirts.
ORGANIZERS
The Tournament is organized by C.H.Lloret, members of the Catalan Handball Federation, special event organizers in cooperation with the official referee’s association of Catalonia and Sport Contact International. The tournament follows the regulations of the Catalan and Spanish Handball Federations.
NOTE: The registered teams undertake to participate in this sports competition at their own risks and decline to take any action whatsoever against the organizers and/or Sports Contact International, including any claims for personal injuries, damages to property, loss or theft
Prices do NOT include insurance. Players and participants are advised to subscribe an insurance policy to cover risks.

NOTE: Teams without own transportation will be accommodated in hotels close to the Pavilions (walking distance from max. 10 minutes) where their matches will be played, so as not to require local transportation.
