The tournament Costa Brava Cup marks the end of our international tournament programme for the year and it is also a celebration of an exciting football season ahead. It’s the ideal time to still enjoy plenty of sunshine and good weather. So perhaps it is a good moment to tune up for your own forthcoming competitions by joining international teams in this five-day tournament.

Teams and fans will be able to enjoy accommodation in family and sports orientated hotels in seaside resorts close to where matches are played ( i.e., 15 to 30 minutes by car) -all with a great choice of facilities, entertainment and night life to keep everyone busy after matches.

COSTA BRAVA CUP
PROGRAMME:
Day 1
Arrival in Spain. Check in the Hotel, briefing and distribution of tournament schedule. Evening: official reception (*) for team delegates (2 per team).
Day 2
Morning: opening ceremony of the tournament. Afternoon: begin first round matches.
Day 3
Continue first round matches.
Day 4
Play-off matches.
Day 5
Semi finals and finals. In the evening, prize-giving ceremony. Non-qualified teams, will have the chance to go on an excursion (**) i.e., to Figueres and the Museo Dalí, or Barcelona and the Camp Nou Stadium, or enjoy the natural beauty of the the area. Travel by boat along the most spectacular coastline in Spain; visit one of the villages nearby or travel to the famous Universal Studios Theme Park of Port Aventura (about 2hrs and 45 minutes away).
Day 6
Departure.
NOTE: Matches will be organized so that teams have enough time to enjoy some excursions and visits.

ORGANIZERS
The Tournaments are organized by local clubs, members of the Catalan Football Federation, special event organizers in cooperation with the official referee's association of Catalonia and Sport Contact International. The tournament follows the regulations of the Catalan and Spanish football federation and FIFA/UEFA.
PITCHES
Artificial grass and grass pitches. NO metal studs allowed. Teams are requested to bring the appropriate boots to play.
Matches will be played mainly in Blanes but can also be played in Malgrat, Pineda, Calella and other towns in the area.
OUR AREA
Matches will be played in the Costa Brava area, mainly in Blanes, Pineda, Lloret and Calella and/or other towns in the vicinity. The Costa Brava, is known for its many amenities. There is a large selection of discos, bars, restaurants to choose from, sandy beaches and breathtaking views. There are also many interesting excursion possibilities to do if you want to get to know the surrounding area and have a good time such as Barcelona and the Camp Nou, Girona, several theme parks, Dali's Museum etc.
DOCUMENTS & RULES
On arrival you will be given an information folder containing documents and rules of the tournament together with final playing groups and kick-off times. Player must bring an official document as proof of age (ID card, passport or FA card).
EQUIPMENT
Players must bring at least 2 different numbered shirts.
COMPETITION SYSTEM
Matches will be played in a league format in groups of mainly of 4 teams each; groups of 3 or 5 teams may also be possible. The organizers can change formats at their discretion. A maximum of 6 matches could be played. A minimum of 3 matches are guaranteed under any competition format.
Exceptionally, teams may have to play 2 matches on the same day or one after the other.
POINTS
Match won: 3 points; match drawn: 1 point; match lost: 0 points
LENGTH OF MATCHES
U19-U17-U15-U13, Seniors and Girls: 2x20 minutes.
U11-U9: 2x15 minutes
TROPHIES
- One cup for each team from 1st to 4th place in each category.
- One Fair Play Cup per tournament.
- One participation medal per player.
- One trophy for best goal keeper in the tournament.
- One trophy for the best scorer in the tournament.
TOTAL AMOUNT OF PLAYERS
Maximum of 18 in all categories
SUBSTITUTES/CHANGES
A total of 4 players and 1 goalkeeper per match. The substituted players cannot play again in the same match. Substitutes shall be brought in to play by advising the referee. For U11, Seniors and Girls, no limit to substitutions.
ACCOMMODATION - HOTELS
The hotels are all in the 2, 3 & 4-star category, situated in the towns of Lloret de Mar, Blanes or Malgrat/ Santa Susanna, at approx., one hour from the city of Barcelona. Accommodation: the group will be accommodated in twin, three or four-bedded rooms on request (Pls. note 3 and 4-bedded rooms are twin rooms with extra bed/beds). Services: all our hotels feature at least a swimming pool, TV room, bar and cafeteria. All rooms are with bath en suite. Meals: based on full-board from dinner on arrival day to lunch on departure (can be changed to suit your arrival/departure arrangements). All meals at the hotels are served mostly buffet-style. Drinks are not included but can be organized for a nominal amount. Depending on the times of matches it may sometime be necessary to have to order a packed-lunch from the hotel the day before.
IMPORTANT: On arrival, the Hotel will request a mandatory deposit of €15,00 per person in the group. This is a guarantee against possible damages to property that any member of the group might cause in the Hotel. The deposit will be reimbursed on departure after the completion of a routine check.
ASSISTANCE
A committee, specialized in sport events oversees the organization of your stay. You may also have your personal bilingual assistant with your team throughout your stay if you wish. (At extra cost).
TRANSPORTATION
When you choose your transportation to Spain, consider also the possibility of flying into the airports of BARCELONA-GIRONA and BARCELONA. The towns of Lloret de Mar, Blanes and Malgrat/Santa Susanna are only 30 minutes away from Girona airport and approx 70 minutes from Barcelona. There are several low-cost airlines operating flights from the UK, Ireland, Italy, Holland, Scandinavia and Germany. We can arrange transfers and general transportation within Spain on request.
NOTE: The registered teams undertake to participate in this sports competition at their own risk and decline to take any action whatsoever against the organizers and/or Sports Contact International, including any claims for personal injuries, damages to property, loss or theft. Prices do NOT include insurance. Players and participants are advised to subscribe an insurance policy to cover risks.
