The city chosen for this international tournament is Valpolicella, located between three valleys to the north of Verona and east of Garda Lake. The famous Valpolicella DOC, Recioto and Amarone wines are produced here.

This very successful tournament, now entering its 18th consecutive year, is organized jointly with U.S. Carianese Calcio,  and is sponsored by the cities of of St. Peter in Cariano Commune, Venice region and Province of Verona.

The tournament is approved by F.I.G.C. I.G.C. Finals takes place at the principal stadium.The tournament will take place at different sportgrounds- St. Peter in Cariano and nearby towns in the region.

PROGRAMME
Day 1: Teams arrival at the secretariat; check-in at the hotel. Technical meeting and tasting of DOC wines for 2 trainers in each team.

Day 2: Official opening ceremony of the tournament with all teams! Beginning of
qualification matches

Day 3: Finals for all categories. Awards Ceremony.

Day 4: Departure of teams or extension of stay in the region.

PITCHES
Natural grass pitches and / or artificial grass. Finals will be played at the main stadium.

Valpolicella, close to the city of Verona and Garda Lake, it is an ideal location with stunning architecture, great museums, top restaurants and shops - there is so much to explore in Valpolicella. Whether you are looking for the bustle of Valpolicella’s city centre or the peace and quiet of an urban retreat, Valpolicella is a great place. 

DOCUMENTS & RULES
On arrival, you will be given an information folder containing documents and rules of the tournament together with final playing groups and kick-off times.

COMPETITION SYSTEM
Matches will be played in a league format in groups of mainly of 4 teams each; groups of 3 or 5 teams may also be possible. The organizers can change formats at their discretion. A maximum of 6 matches could be played. A minimum of 3 matches are guaranteed under any competition format.
Exceptionally, teams may have to play 2 matches on the same day or one after the other.

POINTS
Match won: 3 points; match drawn: 1 point; match lost: 0 points

TROPHIES

• One cup for each team from 1st to 4th place per category
• One Fair Play Cup for each category.
• One souvenir of the tournament per Club.

Age-groups - Categories

ACCOMMODATION
Groups will be accommodated in 3-star Hotels at the Gardesano tourist resort or at some other 3-star hotels in centre of Valpolicella. All hotels are closed to sportgrounds. Meals: based on Half Board from dinner on arrival day to breakfast on departure day. Drinks are not included.

IMPORTANT: The hotels may ask for a deposit of €15.00 per person on arrival for the entire group as a guarantee for any damage that may caused by the group members to the hotel. The deposit will be refunded on departure after making the relevant checks.

ASSISTANCE
A committee, specialized in sport events oversees the organization of your stay. You may also have your personal bilingual assistant with your team throughout your stay if you wish. (At extra cost).

TRANSPORTATION
When you choose your transportation to Italy, consider also the possibility of flying to the airports of Venice or MILAN/BERGAMO area, There are several low-cost airlines operating flights from the UK, Ireland, Holland, Italy, Germany and Spain. We can arrange transfers and general transportation within Italy  on request.

NOTE: The registered teams undertake to participate in this sports competition at their own risks and decline to take any action whatsoever against the organizers and/or Sports Contact International, including any claims for personal injuries, damages to property, loss or theft. Prices do NOT include insurance. Players and participants are advised to subscribe an insurance policy to cover risks.
