 Beach Football - Open age from 16 yrs. Beach soccer is on the rise in Spain as more and more teams from all over the country join other nations to compete in the International Tournament Trofeo Vila de Blanes-Vila de Tossa. Teams meet every year for an intense contest lasting two full days on the magnificent beach of Blanes or Tossa de Mar on the Spanish Costa Brava. BEACH FOOTBALL

PROGRAMME:

Day 1
Arrival of teams at the Hotel.

Day 2
Day at leisure. Enjoy the natural beauty of the the area. Travel by boat along the most spectacular coastline in Spain; visit one of the villages nearby or simply relax in one of the many beautiful beaches nearby. In the evening, an open draw for placement of teams in groups will be held in Blanes.

Day 3
Morning: Tournament begins at Blanes or Tossa beaches.

Day 4
Tournament continues. Semifinals and finals will be played today followed by the presentation of prizes to winners.

Day 5
Departure

ORGANIZERS
The Tournament is organized by Blanes or Tossa , membersof the Catalan Football Federation, in cooperation with the Blanes and Tossa  Council and special event organizers. The tournament follows the regulations of the Catalan beach-football federation.

OUR AREA
Matches will be played in Blanes or Tossa on the Costa Brava - approx 65/80 km north of Barcelona. The area, with towns such as Lloret, Tossa, Malgrat etc, is well known for its many amenities. There is a large selection of discos, bars, restaurants to choose from, sandy beaches and breathtaking views. There are also many interesting excursion possibilities if you want to get to know the surroundings and have a good time: Barcelona and the Camp Nou, Girona, several theme-parks, Dali's Museum etc.

DOCUMENTS & RULES
TOURNAMENTS: On arrival you will be given an information folder containing documents and rules of the tournament. The final playing groups and kick-off times will be made known after the open draw on Friday evening.

COMPETITION SYSTEM
One match of 3x10 minutes with 2 minutes in between, will be played at each venue in a league format. Groups of 3 teams will play each other once, and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each group will play each other in the final round. Groups of 4 teams will play each other once in the first round and the 1st & 2nd, in each group will enter the final round.:

Match won: 3 points; match drawn: 1 point; match lost: 0 points

LENGTH OF MATCHES
As per tournament regulations.

 TOTAL AMOUNT OF PLAYERS/TEAMS
Maximum 12 and minimum 5 per team. A match can only begin with a minimum of 4 players. If only 3 players are present at kick-off, the match will be declared won by the opponent. All teams registered in the Open will also take place in the "Penalty Cup" competition.

SUBSTITUTES/CHANGES
One goalkeeper can be substituted in case of a medically diagnosed injury.

TROPHIES 
A cash price and a cup for the champion; a cup and the registration fee (will be reimbursed) for teams placed in 2nd and 3rd place; teams placed from 4th to 10th position will receive a cup each; the goal keeper with less conceded goals and the highest scorer, will each receive a cup.

From 16 years of age.

ACCOMMODATION - HOTELS
The hotels are all in the 2, 3 or 4-star category, situated in the towns of Lloret de Mar, Blanes or Malgrat/ Santa Susanna, at approx., one hour from the city of Barcelona. Accommodation: the group will be accommodated in twin, three or four-bedded rooms on request (Pls. note 3 and 4-bedded rooms are twin rooms with extra bed/beds). Services: all our hotels feature at least a swimming pool, TV room, bar and cafeteria. All rooms are with bath en suite. Meals: based on full-board from dinner on arrival day to lunch on departure (can be changed to suit your arrival/departure arrangements). All meals at the hotels are served mostly buffet-style. Drinks are not included but can be organized for a nominal amount. Depending on the times of matches it may sometime be necessary to have to order a picnic lunch from the hotel the day before. 

IMPORTANT: On arrival, the Hotel will request a mandatory deposit of €15,00 per person for the whole group. This is a guarantee against possible damages to property that any member of the group might cause in the Hotel. The deposit will be reimbursed on departure after the completion of a routine check.

ASSISTANCE
A committee, specialized in sport events oversees the organization of your stay. You may also have your personal bilingual assistant with your team throughout your stay if you wish. (At extra cost).

TRANSPORTATION
When you choose your transportation to Spain, consider also the possibility of flying to the airports of BARCELONA-GIRONA and BARCELONA. The towns of Lloret de Mar, Blanes and Malgrat/Santa Susanna are only 30 minutes away from Girona and about 70 minutes from Barcelona. There are several low-cost airlines operating flights from the UK, Ireland, Italy and Germany, Holland and Scandinavia. NOTE: Transportation in Spain from/to Airport to Hotel/venues etc., can be organized for your team. Please ask for our special package including all arrangements.
